What is Humans vs. Zombies

Humans vs. Zombies (HvZ) is a week long, 24/7 game of moderated tag commonly played on college campuses. A group of human players attempts to survive a “zombie outbreak” by outsmarting a growing group of zombie players.

Human players must remain vigilant and defend themselves with socks and Nerf guns to avoid being tagged by the growing zombie horde. Currently, Humans vs. Zombies is played at over 600 campuses across the United States!

MU Residential Life followed moderators and players around during the game filming, as I think many of you know, especially those who ended up with GoPros strapped to them. Be sure to check out the video that came of it. It's a pretty awesome look at the game from the inside. - Rex [view video]

Hello HvZ friends! We want to remind you that the HvZ Awards Banquet will be this Saturday, November 15th starting at 3 PM. The current plan is to hold the Banquet in Strickland 105 due to the weather forecast currently calling for temperatures around 30 degrees. If you want to brave the elements, feel free to show up ready to play some abridged, but we will be inside for the formal parts and are not currently planning an official abridged as an organization. Feel free to try and convince individual moderators to run things for you, though. We look forward to seeing you there! - Rex
